02

Video length

App Store Preview videos should be between 15 and 30 seconds. Keep the video focused on the most important app interactions and remove long pauses before uploading.

03

File format

  • .mov, .mp4 or .m4v.
  • H.264 video encoding.
  • Missing, disabled or incorrectly encoded audio tracks may cause App Store Connect to reject the video.

04

Common upload errors

Incorrect video dimensions

If App Store Connect rejects the video size, use the tool above to resize the recording to the required preview dimensions for the selected device.

Unsupported or corrupted audio

If your original recording has no audio, adding a valid silent audio track can help avoid audio-related upload errors. This tool adds a silent stereo track to help the exported file meet Apple’s technical requirements.

Video is too long

Keep the preview between 15 and 30 seconds. Remove slow sections, loading screens and unnecessary pauses before uploading.

App Store requirements can change over time. For the latest guidance, refer to Apple's App Preview Specifications.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the exported video?

886 × 1920 pixels (portrait) or 1920 × 886 pixels (landscape).

Does it keep audio?

If your original video has audio, the exported video keeps it. If it does not, the tool adds a silent audio track so the file is more likely to be accepted by App Store Connect.

What format does it export?

The exported video is optimised for App Store previews. It uses H.264 video, AAC audio, a frame rate of 30 FPS and the correct preview dimensions for portrait or landscape videos, so in most cases it can be uploaded directly to App Store Connect.

Does it work with portrait and landscape orientation?

Yes. The tool detects the video orientation and shows the matching preview shape before export.

Is my video uploaded permanently?

No. Videos are stored temporarily while processing and are automatically deleted shortly afterwards.
