- The Screenshot toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion.
Start Recording
- Select the recording mode you want.

- Click Record to begin.
Tip
To record your voice, click Options before starting and select your microphone.
Stop Recording
When you're finished, you can stop recording in either of these ways:
- Click the Stop button in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- Or press ⌘ + Control + Esc.
Your recording is usually saved to your Desktop, unless you've chosen a different location in Options.
Tips for Better Screen Recordings
- Turn on Do Not Disturb to avoid notifications.
- Close unnecessary apps and browser tabs.
- Record only the part of the screen you need.
- Use a microphone if you're explaining what you're doing.
